ANNETTE HAINES
An Arlington native, is the talented and passionate co-owner of Hier and Haines.
Master stylist Annette Haines began her career as a shampoo girl in 1974 at Morgan’s Heads Up Hair Design in Arlington. She quickly whizzed through the apprenticeship program and got her license in 1978. Under the close supervision of Mary Morgan, Annette learned the true art of hair design and hair movement.
In 1982, Annette joined Paul Mitchell, and she worked her way up to being a Platform Artist before moving to McLean in 1987. During that time, she had the opportunity to get to know Paul Mitchell and found herself drawn to his passion for hairdressing, education and commitment to professional salons.
Annette sought out education with Vidal Sassoon, Wayne Grund, Toni & Guy, Goldwell USA, Organics Coloring Systems, and Brocato International (for whom she became an educator).
Annette specializes in working with short and/or fine hair. She is committed to creating looks that best suit her clients and their everyday lives. As Annette says, “always be honest with your hairdresser about what you’re willing to do with your hair to maintain the style once you get home!”
